I’m not going to pretend I knew Katelyn at all. All I knew of her was her pretty face when she would come into Hot topic when I was working. Sometimes people that you don’t know can make you realize things that you never would have otherwise. I think she has probably done that for quite a few people. You are truly hero. Rest in Paradise Katelyn.

This girl used to come into work all the time. It was rare that we got to see her face because usually she was wearing a protective nose/mouth mask, I’m presuming after chemo. She and her family were always some of the nicest customers we had. We deal with a lot of buttheads so it’s a relief when some of the appreciative and polite regulars come in. Although Katelyn never had a major impact on my life, it is inspiring that she continued fighting until the end. I know she has been an inspiration to a lot of people and that in itself gave her existence value. It’s terrible when life takes young ones from us.

Prankster of the Day: Florida State Student Sends All Campus Computers To Meatspin

Benjamin Blouin, a 26-year-old Florida State University student, is facing third-degree felony charges of “offenses against computer users” after successfully hacking the campus wifi to redirect all students to the infamous shock site Meatspin earlier this month. Though it is unknown exactly how many people saw the infamous video, Blouin says he was motivated by the school’s open wifi network and wanted to make an argument for having students and faculty log in to the network for access. Since the incident, the school has implemented the log in system and placed Blouin in suspension.
